i just finished the trilogy for the first time. never saw any of the movies in my life and somehow was never spoiled lol. im 33. The original was good but tbh underwhelming. 2 was pretty BA. 3 was pretty good and much better than i thought it would be, since many people consider it really bad. i can see how influential the first 1 was for so many gangster movies and even video games like GTA. At the time of it's release, it must've been one of the most hardcore, gritty films you ever seen. Today, i think the pacing is a little slow and there wasn't enough payoff for me. I felt like it started getting good right before it ended.

I watched Speed 2 many times as a kid before I got to watch Speed 1. I enjoyed Speed 2 and I felt it was a fun film with decent action, and a quirky type of humour with PG-13 content. Then I watched the original Speed when i became an adult and......I honestly couldnt believe these two movies are related. The tone of Speed 1 is so different. That's what really stood out for me. It was an R rated movie that took itself seriously. Sure there were some short funny bits but nothing close to the wacky over the top scenes of Speed 2. The action also worked so much better with the bus, train and elevator scenes. Dennis Hopper as the villain was spectacular. I mean, i love Willem Dafoe but he was a bit cartoony in Speed 2, while Dennis Hopper's Howard Payne was a menacing and very dangerous villain in Speed 1. Keanu was also better than Jason Patric, while Sandra Bullock's character was handled better in the first movie as well. Watching Speed made me re-assess how I viewed Speed 2, and it inevitably made me criticize it for not being anywhere near as good as Speed 1 unfortunately. Its no wonder people hated Speed 2, it was too different from the original and a far inferior film in comparison

This ending is more badass. It shows Chucky is just getting warmed up. He is back with a vengeance in Child's play 3. Don't fuck with the Chuck.

Thanks for posting this. I was an Extra on Fast Times for one day and this scene was shot on that day. What I can't believe is my Girlfriend at the time, who also was an Extra that day, can be seen in the background of this scene. She's the brunette in the background as the "dudes" sit down at the table. I remember that my Girlfriend and I were disappointed when the Movie was released and we didn't see her in any of the scenes. Also, we saw Sean Pean, Eric Stoltz and Anthony Edwards on set that day and had no idea who they were, at that time.

This scene would have been better if they would have shown the plane either stopping or aborting the landing. As it is, the plane is trying to abort the landing, but you still hear the brakes locking and smoking as if the pilots were still on the brakes.
